Cyto-Set®
Single-use, sterile infusion system for administration of different cytotoxic drugs via one single closed line-system by gravity or pressure
The integrated safety components in Cyto-Set form a closed system right from the first handling step to the very last, from preparation to disposal.
- A particle filter in the drip chamber with pore size of 15 μm and lower prevents effectively the infusion of particles from the infusion container
- High safety against microbial contamination due to the hydrophobic, bacteria retentive Primestop cap on the patient connector which provides a closed system until connection to the patient
- The bacteria tight air vent filter in the spike ensures the venting of the infusion solution container without contamination risk
- Provides easy access, while reducing the chance of accidental touch contamination
- The needle free valve reduces the risk of particulate contamination by preventing coring of membranes
- A closed system lowers the risk of air embolism and chemical contamination
- All connections remain free of cytostatic drugs and will only be wetted by flushing solution. Flushing prevents drug incompatibilities.
- All lines are PVC-free, there is no risk of DEHP exposure
- Compatible with Infusomat® fm-/fmS and Infusomat® Space
Preparation
- Cyto-Set® Mix with Safsite® and non-vented spike for needle-free preparation of drugs and container connection
- Cyto-Set® Line with vented spike for connection of all infusion containers, without mixing function
- Cyto-Set® Mix and Cyto-Set® Line with 0.2 μm infusion filter and vented spike
Application (Gravity)
- Cyto-Set® Infusion with 3 Safsite® or 5 Safsite® with vented spike for gravity infusion
Application (Pump)
- Cyto-Set® Infusomat® and Space line with 3 Safsite® or 5 Safsite® with vented spike for application with compatible Infusion pumps, e.g. Infusomat® Space, Infusomat® fm/fmS
- Cyto-Set® Infusomat Space line 0.2 μm infusion filter and with vented spike for application with compatible Infusion pumps, e.g. Infusomat® Space, Infusomat® fm/fmS
- Cyto-Set® pump adapter with 4 Safsite®, non-vented spike and spike adapter for connection to compatible Infusion pumps, e.g. Infusomat® Space, Infusomat ® fm/fmS
