Gravity infusion administration requiring an extra measure of safety and precision related to traditional roller clamps, e.g. to administer antibiotics, chemotherapy, in the care of ambulatory patients. Even though it is used in that way it is however not a substitute for an infusion pump as changes in head height e.g. caused by patient activity cannot be compensated.
